CAVE WINS WRITING PRIZE AT VENICE
Rocker-turned-screenwriter NICK CAVE was honoured at the Venice Film Festival on Friday (08SEP06), when he was presented with an award for script writing THE PROPOSITION. Cave won the inaugural Gucci prize, given to an internationally acclaimed artist outside cinema who has made a remarkable contribution to film in any capacity, at the Italian event. Australian movie The Proposition is a western starring GUY PEARCE, RAY WINSTONE and DANNY HUSTON.
