CAVE SAYS SORRY TO LAVIGNE & MINOGUE

NICK CAVE has apologised to AVRIL LAVIGNE and KYLIE MINOGUE for featuring them in his his new novel THE DEATH OF BUNNY MUNRO.
The book's main character, Bunny Munro, is a door-to-door salesman obsessed with the pop stars - and the Bad Seeds frontman is hoping the singers will forgive him for the references.
He says, "I would like to publicly apologise to both of them, especially Avril Lavigne, because the writing about her is darker and more invasive I guess."
The Australian rocker, who duetted with Minogue on 1996's Where the Wild Roses Grow, hopes she will laugh it off.
He adds, "I know Kylie and at least, I hope, she will take it in the spirit it was written. At the time that the book was set, which was about eight years ago, or seven years ago, Kylie Minogue and her hot pants were all the tabloids wrote about in this country (Britain)."
