Movie-maker NICK CASSAVETES felt "stupid" after turning JUSTIN TIMBERLAKE down for a role in romantic drama THE NOTEBOOK - because he had no idea who the pop superstar was. The director had a second chance to work with the CRY ME A RIVER singer when he called Timberlake and offered him a role in ALPHA DOG - and this time he made sure he knew all about the pop star. Cassavetes says, " I met Justin for The Notebook. I'm so stupid, I really didn't know who he was and my kids think I'm a f**kin' idiot. They just think I'm so stupid."
