CARUSO 'STALKER' ARRESTED
An Austrian woman accused of stalking CSI: MIAMI star DAVID CARUSO has been detained after an international warrant was issued for her arrest.
The unnamed 41-year-old - whose identity is protected under the country's privacy laws - was due to stand trial in April (08) at a court in Innsbruck for stalking and threatening to kill Caruso.
The woman failed to show up for the hearing and a judge subsequently issued a warrant for her arrest.
Police in Tijuana, Mexico arrested the woman and handed her over to immigration officials on Thursday (19Feb09), after which she is likely to be deported.
The female's capture was due to the help of a blog titled The Stalker Chronicles, which was dedicated to her arrest, police added.

Thank you ContactMusic for carrying this. You have always been a good source
for reliable coverage of this very sad situation.
Heidemarie Schnitzer is now in the custody of Mexican Immigration. She will be
transferred to Interpol's custody shortly and extradited to Austria. Now a
known flight risk, there will be no bail for her. At trial, prosecutors will
show she stalked, sent death threats to Caruso and his family members, failed
to appear for two Court hearings and fled Austria to avoid prosecution
thereof. If convicted on the stalking charges alone, she could be sentenced up
to three years in prison. She also faces additional charges for failure to
appear and fleeing the jurisdiction.
We at The Stalker Chronicles never understood why someone would throw their
life away to stalk a celebrity. Schnitzer also abandoned two children.
