CARS ZOOMS BACK TO UK NUMBER ONE

Animated movie CARS has zoomed back to the top of the UK box office, overtaking the previous number one MIAMI VICE. The Disney/Pixar film took GBP1.3 million ($2.3 million) over the weekend (11-13AUG06), knocking the COLIN FARRELL and JAMIE FOXX-starring cop thriller into the number three spot. PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN: DEAD MAN'S CHEST moved from last weekend's (04-06AUG06) three up to number two. The weekend fared badly for new releases; MONSTER HOUSE, NACHO LIBRE and M NIGHT SHYAMALAN's critically panned LADY IN THE WATER, which entered at four, five and 10 respectively.
