CARRADINE'S BODY FLOWN HOME
DAVID CARRADINE's remains have been flown back to his native U.S. just one day after the actor was found dead in a hotel room in Thailand.
The Kill Bill star's naked body was discovered hanging in a Bangkok hotel suite on Thursday (04Jun09). Local reports suggested he committed suicide, but a statement from Carradine's representative indicates the actor died when a sex act went wrong.
Coroners at Bangkok's Chulalongkorn hospital completed an autopsy on Friday (05Jun09), although the cause of death is not expected to be determined until the results from toxicity tests are in.
The hospital's chief coroner, Nantana Sirisap, says, "We are now running tests and then we will decide the cause of death. This certainly was not a natural cause of death."
Officials at the U.S. Embassy in Bangkok have confirmed the 72 year old's body has been released by Thai authorities and was dispatched to the U.S. on Friday (05Jun09), reports TMZ.com.
A memorial service is expected to be held next week (begs08Jun09).
