CARLIN WINS COMEDY GRAMMY
Comedy legend GEORGE CARLIN was honoured posthumously at the Grammy Awards on Sunday (08Feb09) with the Best Comedy Album prize.The late star's daughter Kelly accepted on her father's behalf and promised to take better care of the award than her father did in 1972, when he also claimed gold at the Grammys.
She explained, "During a chemically-induced altered state, he took it apart."
Kelly explained that the U.S. Recording Academy officials had to send Carlin a second Grammy.
Carlin died of heart failure in June (08).
