CARLIN REMEMBERED BY COMICS + FRIENDS

Funnyman GEORGE CARLIN was remembered in Los Angeles on Sunday (29Jun08) as fellow comics joined his family and friends at a closed memorial service.
Bill Maher and Garry Shandling were among the comedians paying tribute to the late star, who died from a heart attack on 22 June (08).
The 150 guests listened to Shandling and Carlin's former partner Jack Burns as they recalled favourite memories of the funnyman, who appeared on a giant screen in a montage of his most famous routines.
