CARLA BRUNI: 'I DIDN'T SPLIT JAGGER AND HALL'

Pop star and French first lady CARLA BRUNI has denied claims she broke up SIR MICK JAGGER's marriage to JERRY HALL, insisting they were only friends until he divorced the former model.
Before marrying president Nicolas Sarkozy, Italian Bruni enjoyed romances with rock pals Eric Clapton and Jagger - but she rejects the suggestion she committed adultery with Jagger before his 1999 split from Hall.
Bruni says, "Mick Jagger is actually a very good friend of mine. He was married and we never had a romance in the way it was written. We had a friendship at first and then he got a divorce. Not because of me. I didn't break up his marriage."
