CARL BARAT TALKS NEW ALBUM
Carl Barat has been talking about the forthcoming DIRTY PRETTY THINGS album and his planned collaboration with MARK RONSON.
The former LIBERTINES guitarist said his band will be playing several dates in August and October in support of new album ROMANCE AT SHORT NOTICE.
On the subject of the title, Bart told BBC 6 Music: "It's from a story from an old Edwardian writer called Saki, and its the name of one of the short stories. I just kind of figured with the way we've been going through life at the minute, it's kind of a hearts on the sleeve kind of thing."
He added that he is keen to work with MARK RONSON on a new project, but that he is having trouble securing time with much in-demand producer.
"I wanna do a track with him for this film about northern soul music... I can't get hold of him. Maybe he is ignoring me, I dont know," he said.
Elsewhere, Barat recently dismissed speculation that THE LIBERTINES are about to reform.
