CAREY'S POST-WEDDING FANTASY COMES TRUE

MARIAH CAREY and new husband NICK CANNON reportedly celebrated their nuptials at a star-studded post-wedding party at the weekend (09Aug08), thanks to her record boss ANTONIO 'L.A.' REID.
The couple wed in the Bahamas in April (08) after a six-week whirlwind romance, and have reportedly been desperate to celebrate their union with a lavish ceremony.
And Carey's post-wedding fantasy was finally realised after Def Jam Records chairman Reid put together the party at his Long Island, New York home on Saturday (09Aug08), according to the New York Post.
A source tells the newspaper Reid "did it up" for the star, hiring a massive team to co-ordinate the event.
The extravagant celebrations were so exuberant, Carey's rowdy celebrity guests - including Gwyneth Paltrow, Mary J. Blige, Kelly Ripa, Samuel L. Jackson and Star Jones - allegedly prompted a call to police after neighbours complained of noise when the party passed midnight.
Cannon and Carey are reportedly continuing their own celebration, spending the remainder of the week at a farm in East Hampton, New York, that they have rented for $125,000 (GBP62,500).
