MARIAH CAREY almost pulled out of her new film TENNESSEE after learning director AARON WOODLEY planned to use prosthetics to make her look ugly. The pop superstar stepped in to play waitress Krystal when Janet Jackson quit the film, but was shocked when she learned she'd have to wear a fake nose for the part. A film insider tells the New York Daily News Carey was also required to don fake bushy eyebrows in the new film. The source says, "Mariah is the nicest person to work with - everyone loves her. But she was uncomfortable at being made ugly for the part. "When she saw the nose, she called her people and decided against it (starring in the film). She wasn't a diva about it, but she did seem very insecure about her appearance." But Carey's determination to star in a hit movie got the better of her - and she quickly agreed to do whatever was necessary to get the film made.
