CAREY RECORDING CHRISTMAS SONG WITH MOTHER

MARIAH CAREY is embracing the family spirit of Christmas - she's recording a new holiday tune with her mother.
The Hero hitmaker scored a huge seasonal single in 1994 with All I Want for Christmas Is You, and the track has become a festive favourite.
But she's preparing to go one better this winter by teaming up with her mum Patricia, a former opera singer.
Carey tells gossip columnist Liz Smith, "I'm going to record another Christmas song, with my mother. I'm going to sing in my style, and she is going to sing operatic, which is her style."
