CAREY & JONES LAND MULTI-MILLION DOLLAR GIG

MARIAH CAREY and Welsh singer TOM JONES will both be paid a staggering $1.45 million (£1 million) for a one-off performance in Turkey this month (May09).
The legendary stars have both been hired to perform at the launch of Europe's most expensive luxury resort - the $1.45 billion (£1 billion) Mardan Palace in Antalya, Turkey on 23 May (09).
The stars will play to a star-studded audience which will reportedly include Sharon Stone and Sir Paul MCCartney, according to British newspaper The Sun.
