CARELL SIGNS THREE MOVIE DEAL

STEVE CARELL has officially made it onto the Hollywood A-list - he has signed a multi-million dollar three-movie deal with studio Warner Bros.
Following the huge commercial success of his summer (08) movie Get Smart, bosses at the studio have locked him down for three more films - a deal that doesn't include further secret agent sequels.
Carell says of the deal, "My idea was to partner with friends of mine, people I trusted, with whom I share a certain sensibility. I have some ideas for films, but I've gotten to know so many people who are funny, talented and fertile with ideas that I'm confident this very strong base of friendships will lead to something."
Get Smart has grossed more than $225.8 million (GBP122 million) worldwide to date.
