MARIAH CAREY's new husband NICK CANNON insisted on rushing his new bride up the aisle - because he didn't want friends to bombard the couple with pre-wedding questions.
The rapper/actor wed older woman Carey in April (08) after a whirlwind six-week romance and admits he didn't want to hear from family and friends who thought the wedding was premature.
He says, "We really kept the whole relationship aspect of it quiet... because that would have been not quiet or private (sic).
"I think we didn't want to give people a chance to be like, 'What are you doing? What are you talking about? This is so quick. Are you sure?'"
