CANDY SPELLING 'HEARTBROKEN' WITH TORI

Candy Spelling has hit out at her estranged daughter Tori's spending habits, but also insists she is still desperate to reconcile with her.

Tori Spelling's mother insists it "killed her" not to attend her granddaughter's first birthday party.

Candy Spelling - who has previously accused Tori of engineering the meeting for her reality show 'Tori and Dean: Home Sweet Hollywood' - was unhappy not to meet Stella, but stands by her decision.

She told America's OK! magazine: "I'm a punch line on the scripted reality show and that's kind of not what I bargained for. I'm telling the truth. It killed me, but that's what I had to do.

"I have been trying and I'm never going to stop trying to reconcile with Tori. I love her. She is my child."

Candy has always maintained she didn't attend Stella's party as she did not want the reunion with her estranged daughter to be filmed.

Despite insisting she wants to rebuild her relationship with Tori, Candy criticised her daughter's spending habits.

Candy - who has previously posted internet messages begging for reconciliation - said: "Everyone is complaining that they don't have any money now, and here Tori is doing these grand parties. She even rented a house for Stella's party."

However, Candy has not ruled out appearing in her own TV show.

She revealed: "If it was the right thing and it was scripted, I would do it. I would not let someone follow me around all of the time. That would make me nuts."

Tori and Candy first fell out in 2006 after Tori mocked her mother on her reality TV show 'So NoTORIous'.

The feud was then exacerbated after late millionaire TV producer Aaron Spelling, Tori's late father and Candy's deceased husband, left his daughter a derisory amount in his will.
