CAMPBELL DOUBTS ON SLAMMED STAGE PLAY
NEVE CAMPBELL had doubts about the quality of her West End debut - and the hostile reception from critics suggest she should have listened to her first instinct.
SCREAM beauty Campbell starred alongside MATTHEW MODINE in ARTHUR MILLER's RESURRECTION BLUES at London's Old Vic in March (06), but was slammed by theatre critics.
She concedes, "I think we were called the worst thing to hit the Old Vic in 30 years. It doesn't really get much worse than that.
"I was never completely sure of the piece. I did it because I had been wanting to get on stage for years.
"I thought 'I was only in the first and last scene, I'm not going to be blamed.' Of course, I was wrong. They wanted to blame all the Hollywood people."
London-based Campbell has received kinder reviews for her latest play LOVE SONG, which opened at the British capital's New Ambassadors theatre last month (NOV06)
