CALVIN HARRIS' YOUTUBE RANT

Calvin Harris has launched a furious tirade against music industry body the British Photographic Industry (BPI) for removing his music videos from file sharing website YouTube.

Calvin Harris has branded the British Photographic Industry (BPI) "*****" for taking his videos off YouTube.

The 'I'm Not Alone' hitmaker was left incensed after his promotional clips - including one for his forthcoming single 'Ready For The Weekend' - were taken down from the video sharing website over a "copyright claim" from the trade organisation which represents the UK music industry,

He wrote on his Twitter page: "IT'S MY F**KING SONG YOU ABSOLUTE B******S. It's the f**king BPI. F**K YOU 'The BPI'. What have you ever done for anybody you useless shower of ****.

"The BPI are the worst organisation to ever walk the earth, and their set-up is shambolic, and their online employees are all massive retards. This is unbelievable, and it seems I am completely powerless to do anything. Sony have done nothing, the BPI have done nothing. (sic)"

Calvin - who was particularly annoyed as bootleg versions of the video remained on the site - also took to his Twitter page to ask fans whether he should mime on a forthcoming TV appearance.

He wrote: "Listen, this is a serious question, I'm on that Alan Carr show in a couple of weeks will anybody mind if I MIME? It'll sound so much better. A lot of people saying 'don't mime' but here's the thing. When you do a tv show like that you never play fully live its always just live vocal. And the backing track is always mimed. Which works ok if its an indie sounding band but not so good if its electronic. In fact it sounds s**t.

"So for this reason I'm wondering if its a good idea to just mime the whole thing so people get a better idea of what the track sounds like. Fully live works great, as does fully mime. In between is not good, never has been never will be. (sic)."
