CABRERA SPLITS FROM VERONICA

ASHLEE SIMPSON's ex-boyfriend RYAN CABRERA has split with LISA ORIGLIASSO, one half of Australian pop duo THE VERONICAS. The break-up has wreaked havoc on the former couple's professional life, with Cabrera quitting the group's tour, in which he appeared as the opening act. The Veronicas - made up of singing twins Lisa and JESS ORIGLIASSO - are scheduled to begin touring the US next month, and are desperately looking for a last minute replacement for Cabrera. Lisa explains, "We're not together any more. It was very recent, but we'll still remain the best of friends." Tour promoter Frontier issued a press release yesterday (02JUL06) announcing Cabrera would not be part of the Revolution Tour, citing "unavoidable recording commitments" as his reason for pulling out. Lisa adds, "We have one or two people we're looking at to come out (to the US) in his place."
