CAAN CONTRACT LAWSUIT DENIED

The film company facing legal action from THE GODFATHER star JAMES CAAN has denied it has ever entered into a movie deal with the actor.
Caan filed a $5 million (£3.44 million) suit against Fish Weir Filmworks and writer/director Daniel Adams at California's Superior Court earlier this year (13Jan09).
The papers allege Adams and executives at the production company backed out of an agreement for him to play the lead role in forthcoming picture The Lightkeepers.
Caan is suing for breach of contract and fraud, claiming he was to be paid "$1,000,000 in cash on a pay-or-play basis... and $1,000,000 in deferred compensation".
However, bosses at Fish Weir Filmworks claim that Caan did not have a contract with the company, reports TMZ.com.
