CAAN APOLOGISES FOR USING GAY SLUR
Actor SCOTT CAAN has apologised for using a homophobic slur towards a photographer. The Ocean's Eleven star, son of screen legend James Caan, called a paparazzo who got too close for his liking a "f**got". He tells website TMZ.com, "I am sorry for using such a derogatory word. I was being harassed by a paparazzi, and unfortunately, the word slipped out. "I don't ever condone the use of that word and I deeply apologise to anyone whom I may have offended." Former Grey's Anatomy star Isaiah Washington was publicly demonised for using the word in an on-set spat with co-star Patrick Dempsey last year (06). The controversy eventually led to Washington's dismissal from the drama.
