Rapper COREY 'C-MURDER' MILLER has been refused permission to promote his latest album after a Louisiana judge ruled it violated a gag order The hip-hop star is currently under house arrest awaiting a second trial for the 2002 killing of Louisiana teenager STEVE THOMAS but is desperate to garner some publicity for the unnamed new record His lawyer RON RAKOSKY told State District Judge MARTHA SASSONE in Gretna on Monday (23OCT06) his client was depending on income from the album to support his three children, cover legal expenses and renovate his grandmother's New Orleans home, flooded by Hurricane Katrina last year (05) However, Sassone ruled, "There'll be no interviews, no music videos "I guess the music will have to speak for itself Capitol Records will have to find another way to advertise it " She did accept that he could be photographed as long as the shoot took place at his home Sassone also agreed to let Miller, under orders to stay inside his house, into his backyard to play with his children Miller is expected to stand trial next year (07) Although the rapper was previously convicted of second-degree murder, he won a new trial in March (06) when a judge ruled that prosecutors withheld the criminal backgrounds of key witnesses in the original case
