BYRNE ABANDONS HUMAN MICROWAVE

Rocker-turned-artist DAVID BYRNE had to abandon plans to create a giant microwave for humans - after discovering it would be fatal.
The Talking Heads frontman has exhibited his artwork in exhibitions around the world since the 1990s and has erected anonymous installations in New York City, where he now lives.
But Byrne concedes not ever idea comes to fruition.
He tells Interview magazine, "One of my ideas was to have a giant walk-in microwave turned to low - just enough that you could feel the warmth when you walk in."
But cancer doctors warned him the microwave would kill.
He adds, "Once you feel the warmth, the microwave has already cooked you."
