BUTLER CHARGED WITH CRIMINAL BATTERY
Scottish tough guy GERARD BUTLER has been charged with criminal battery after allegedly beating up a photographer last year (Oct08).
The Los Angeles City Attorney filed the charge on Wednesday (13May09) after investigating claims the 300 star attacked a paparazzo outside the premiere party for Guy Ritchie film RocknRolla.
Reports suggest Butler left Crown Bar and took exception to the snapper, punching him in the mouth.
The actor's representatives insist the photographer was stalking the star, almost killing a pedestrian as he chased the Scot through Hollywood.
According to TMZ.com, Butler is due in court for an arraignment on 10 June (09).

I wish him all the best luck with this situation, its unbelievable how long
these things can be drug out in the courts etc. (there is really no limits to
how far some of these paps will go), I believe he got what he deserves,
especially almost killing a pedestrian while chasing Gerard, it appears that no
one is safe from what a pap will do to get his photo, I believe that the
pedestrian should go after the pap as well for endangerment. (stupid paps, wise
up why don't you, a persons life is worth more then a story)

It is ridiculous.
It would be a photegrapher who should be charged.
Gerard is not a deer to be chased.He need some privacy,and if somebody is so
dare and stupid to not leave him alone,there must be something what will stop
it.
How would we feel if somebody is always taling you??
Hopely there will be justice in right hands.
Fingers cross,Gerard.
