BUTLER BLASTS 'GANGLAND' CITY

Actor GERARD BUTLER feared for his safety growing up in a tough Scottish town - comparing life in the area to violent gang movie THE WARRIORS.
The 300 star was born in Paisley, near Glasgow, but moved to Canada with his family before returning to the U.K. as a young child when his parents split up.
And he is grateful he managed to forge a successful Hollywood career, as many of his former neighbours turned to a life of crime.
Butler says, "It was like going into the land of the movie The Warriors. I'd go down there and play SAS, trying to get in and get out without being wounded or killed. There were so many people on that street that ended up in prison. It was truly an insane area."
The actor also denies persistent rumours he is dating his The Bounty co-star Jennifer Aniston: "She's a great girl - and I love her to death - but I'm not going out with her."
