BURT 'GATHERING TALENT'

BURT BACHARACH has enlisted some top names to accompany him during his debut at the BBC Electric Proms.

The veteran songwriter has confirmed he will be joined by JAMIE CULLUM, ADELE and BETH ROWLEY when he performs at London's Roundhouse.

Speaking to BBC 6 music, he said the legendary venue had lived up to his expectations.

"I'm feeling good, it's a very exciting venue to be in, I've seen it on film, but until you walk in here and take a look you can't get the full picture of what it's like, it's pretty spectacular," he said.

"I think with people in here tonight, oh my God! There will be people right? Tell me they'll be people!"

Burt has previously been joined by Noel Gallagher, who sang This Guy’s in Love With You with him at The Royal Festival Hall 13 years ago.

It has been reported that OASIS are planning to cover THE ROLLING STONES' track We Love You when they perform at the event.
