BURKE SUFFERS DANCE INJURY

DANCING WITH THE STARS contestant BROOKE BURKE has returned to the show after injuring her foot.
The model was performing the jitterbug with partner Derek Hough on Sunday afternoon (19Oct08) when she fell during a high-energy routine.
Burke was taken to Los Angeles Cedars-Sinai Medical Center where medics confirmed she hadn't suffered a serious injury, but her foot was badly bruised.
A spokesman for the show says, "She's a little sore, but she rehearsed today and she feels ready to dance tonight."
Burke is not the first contestant to sustain an injury on the show; Olympic volleyball star Misty May-Treanor ruptured her Achilles tendon and was forced to withdraw from the competition, and comedian Jeffrey Ross suffered a corneal abrasion when his partner Edyta Sliwinska's hand grazed his eye.
