BURKE RECORDS WITH COUNTRY'S GREAT LADIES

Soul great SOLOMON BURKE is recording a new album with country's leading ladies. The GOT TO GET YOU OFF MY MIND singer has hit the recording studio with DOLLY PARTON, EMMYLOU HARRIS and GILLIAN WELCH, among others, on new album NASHVILLE. The mostly covers album features the GEORGE JONES/TAMMY WYNETTE classic WE'RE GONNA HOLD ON and BRUCE SPRINGSTEEN's AIN'T GOT YOU. But Burke regrets he never got the chance to actually record with Dolly Parton, who reworks her 1969 PORTER WAGONER duet TOMORROW IS FOREVER with the soul man - the two legends recorded their parts separately. He says, "It's like I had the buns and didn't have the hot dogs."
