BUN 'REUNITED BLUR'
BLUR frontman Damon Albarn has revealed the all-important catalyst that led to the reunion of the seminal Britpop band a bun.
The much-missed band recently announced they will be reforming for two shows in London's Hyde Park next July, for which tickets rapidly sold out.
Albarn told BBC Radio 4's Front Row that he and guitarist Graham Coxon rekindled their friendship over a snack.
"We just went for a walk and bought a bun, I think it was an Eccles cake, and sat in a doorway. It really felt like it was back to how it was when we were younger," he explained.
The band are currently developing a series of smaller warm-up gigs prior to the Hyde Park shows and hope to play the first in Albarn and Coxon's hometown of Colchester.
Furthermore, Albarn has revealed he would like to reinstate one of their most divisive songs.
"I am determined to do a version of Country House that works," he said.
