BUFFETT SUES OVER PARROTHEAD NAME
Country star JIMMY BUFFETT is suing a U.S. theme park owner, claiming it stole a name from the nickname of his fans.
Buffett claims the Six Flags's Carrothead Club infringes his trademark on Parrotheads, a name associated with his Hawaiian-shirt-wearing devotees.
The move has stunned Six Flags, responsible for 20 theme parks. Representative Wendy Goldberg tells New York gossip column PageSix.com, "I'm not sure how the concept of children in foam carrot hats is going to be confused with significantly older Hawaiian shirt-wearing, margarita-swilling Parrotheads. Clearly imitation wasn't what we had in mind!"

Come on Jimmy ~ Don't you already have enough money? I'm a huge Parrothead but
I think Jimmy should consider this "to imitate is a form of flattery". It's
not like they are going out and selling Carrothead tee-shirts!
If the Six Flags people did not mean to associate the name with ParrotHeads,
why didn't they choose CarrotTops instead? Wait, that name is already taken
too. I guess there is no way the Six Flags ad men could just do something
original.
