BUCKS FIZZ SET FOR COMEBACK?

Eighties pop group BUCKS FIZZ are set to make a comeback - 14 years after the original line-up disbanded. The British band won the Eurovision Song Contest for the UK in 1981 with MAKING YOUR MIND UP, and went on to have a successful pop career. Bucks Fizz never officially announced their split, but original members JAY ASTON, CHERYL BAKER and MIKE NOLAN went their separate ways in 1985, 1989 and 1993 respectively. BOBBY G continued to perform under the name Bucks Fizz with three new recruits. But now the ageing pop stars are to regroup for a one-off performance this weekend (17MAR07) on a BBC TV show also called MAKING YOUR MIND UP, where the audience will vote on which act will represent Britain in the 2007 Eurovision Song Contest later this year (MAY07). A source says, "Jay, Cheryl and Mike want to put their differences behind them for one last show-stopping performance. "They worked on (funnyman) PETER KAY's charity single for Comic Relief and enjoyed catching up. Bobby loved seeing everyone but isn't sure about reforming the band."
