BRYANTS FILE CROSS-COMPLAINT AGAINST HOUSEKEEPER

Basketball superstar KOBE BRYANT and his wife VANESSA have filed a cross-complaint against their former housekeeper following allegations she was verbally abused throughout her employment with the couple.
Maria Jimenez filed suit against the Bryants in March (09) in Superior Court in Orange County, California, claiming wrongful discharge, invasion of privacy, emotional distress and unpaid wages.
Jimenez specifically alleges Vanessa "badgered, harassed and humiliated" her by "yelling and screaming" at her in front of other people in their household.
The Bryants immediately denied the claims, branding the allegations "outrageous" and "totally unfounded".
A statement issued by their attorneys at Loeb & Loeb LLP on 25 March (09) read: "We have learned that a former employee of the Bryants, Maria Jimenez, has filed a complaint against our clients. Ms. Jimenez's outrageous allegations of improper conduct are totally unfounded and patently false. The Bryants intend to vigorously defend against these untruthful allegations and are confident that the baseless nature of the allegations will be proven."
The couple filed their complaint against Jimenez on Friday (22May09), insisting her claims of abuse are "without merit" and accusing Jimenez of breaking the confidentiality agreement she signed upon her employment in 2007 by speaking with the press and other third parties.
All parties are in court on July (09), reports TMZ.com.
