SACHA BARON COHEN's outlandish gay character BRUNO has caused outrage in Australia - after he joked about romancing the country's Prime Minister KEVIN RUDD.
Cohen jetted in to Sydney on Monday (29Jun09) for the Aussie premiere of his new movie, about the scandalous escapades of a camp Austrian fashion guru.
But Cohen's gags may have gone too far after he boasted to reporters about spending the night with Aussie leader Rudd - insisting the pair hit it off after meeting on a TV talkshow.
He told a press conference, "The reason I'm late is I just had breakfast in bed with Kevin Rudd. That guy is like, uber cute. I thought Obama was, like, the hottest guy in the world until I met Kevin."
