BROWNE MAKES WINE PLANS

Rocker JACKSON BROWNE is set to become the latest celebrity vintner - he is contemplating turning his Hollister Ranch home in Santa Barbara, California into a vineyard.
The singer/songwriter feels sure he has the perfect soil and weather conditions to grow grapes on his remote estate - but he's still not sure he wants to become a "gentleman farmer".
Browne says, "This area has always been a place where I've had a house, tended a garden... I've often thought that I should do it (become a vintner) while I can still enjoy it. But I may never do it.
"I'm a little worried that if I started to farm out here it wouldn't be the hideaway that it is for me now.
"I want to be a gentleman farmer, but I don't want to work very hard."
