BROWNE: 'FOGELBERG WAS AN ANGEL'

Singer/songwriter JACKSON BROWNE has paid tribute to late pal DAN FOGELBERG, calling him a "beautiful angel". The Same Auld Lang Syne singer, who worked on Browne's 1974 album Late For The Sky, lost his three-year battle with prostate cancer at the weekend (16Dec07). Browne tells Rolling Stone magazine, "He was beautiful, an angel. People either don't know it or don't remember it, but he had the highest harmonies. "My favourite song of his (Same Old Lang Syne) was about running into an old lover in a supermarket on New Years. I shouldn't admit it, but it made me cry. "It encapsulated the passing of time and the revisiting of former hopes and dreams. He was a really emotional songwriter and a beautiful singer."
