BROWN SEXUAL HARASSMENT LAWSUIT THROWN OUT OF COURT
A sexual harassment lawsuit brought against JAMES BROWN by his former publicist was thrown out by the 7th US Circuit Court Of Appeals in Chicago, Illinois yesterday (11AUG06). The three judges upheld a previous ruling that JACQUE HOLLANDER's legal action contravened the statute of limitations - she claims the Godfather Of Soul raped her at gunpoint in 1988. Hollander also alleges Brown told her she would be killed if she told anyone. Hollander launched her legal action in January 2005, claiming her doctor had told her a thyroid condition she developed was caused by the rape, and thereby bypassing the two-year statute of limitations. But the judges disagreed, ruling she knew about her injuries immediately.
