BROWN AND MARR FORM TV SUPERGROUP

British rock icons IAN BROWN and JOHNNY MARR have formed a supergroup to record music for a new TV drama series.
The former Stone Roses frontman and Smiths guitarist are currently working on tracks for the shows, being written by a mutual friend, about the U.K.'s underclass.
And they have hinted they could be joined on bass by either Gary 'Mani' Mounfield - Brown's ex-Stone Roses bandmate - or Happy Mondays' Shaun Ryder.
Brown tells the BBC, "The idea is that Johnny writes the music and I write the words and the melodies. We've got a mutual friend who's writing a drama series. One of them's about ticket touts (scalpers), another one's about grafters - kids who sell t-shirts and things like that - and another one's about pickpockets. We're going to get together and do the soundtrack for these dramas. We'd have to bring a drummer or a bass player in."
