BROOK SACKED AS BRITAIN'S GOT TALENT JUDGE AFTER SIX DAYS

Kelly Brook has been cut from the Britain's Got Talent judging panel after only six days in the job.

The model and actress was only unveiled as a new judge last Tuesday, joining Simon Cowell, Piers Morgan and Amanda Holden.

But after producers reviewed initial tapes from the show's Manchester auditions, it has been decided that a four-strong judging panel was too "complicated".

In a statement, Cowell said it had become clear that the talent show's format did not "support another judge".

"I have genuinely enjoyed working with Kelly, she is absolutely lovely and a complete professional," he added.

A spokesman for the TalkbackThames production company commented: "The format of the show is cleaner and less complicated with just three judges, which was not fully appreciated ahead of filming.

"Producers reviewed the tapes over the weekend and although Kelly brings a huge amount of warmth to the show and we've loved having her on board, the complications it adds to the filming process and format of the show means that unfortunately, and with huge regret, we have agreed with ITV not to proceed with a fourth judge."

According to the Daily Mirror, 29-year-old Brook - who is dating England and Wasps rugby star Danny Cipriani - is "stunned" at the decision to axe her from the panel.

The third series of Britain's Got Talent begins in the spring, with a new batch of aspiring performers aiming to follow in the footsteps of previous champions Paul Potts and George Sampson.

As well as claiming a £100,000 prize, the winner of the ITV1 show gets a chance to perform in front of the Queen at the Royal Variety Performance.
