BROOK AND ZANE FACE GARDEN ORNAMENTS COURT BATTLE

Hollywood actor BILLY ZANE and his model fiancee KELLY BROOK are facing a court battle over GBP25,000 ($48,750) worth of pot plants and garden ornaments. TITANIC star Zane and Brook bought their GBP1 million ($1.8 million) home from US author RICK MCBRIDE last year (06) and moved into the Kent, England property in December. However, MCBride and his wife now want the garden furnishings they left at the property back. Brook, who also claims MCBride stripped the property bare before he left, says, "Mr MCBride never wanted to meet us before now. Buying a house can be emotional for all parties. We're getting married this year and this was where we're supposed to start a family." Zane adds, "They took the light fittings, the well, the sundial, everything in the brochure. I sympathise with their attachment, but they can't take everything." MCBride insists the garden items were specifically excluded from the house sale and is now threatening to take Brook and Zane to court after claiming Brook blocked the driveway with her car when he tried to collect the things. He says, "It's two months since we moved out. Kelly wanted to get into the house. The movers didn't have time to get everything together. "We said we would pick up the rest of our stuff at a later date but she would not talk to us. The reason this house was so desirable is that it has a fabulous garden that Kelly was crazy about. "Obviously she wants all the statues and plants for her wedding."
