BRODERICK: 'I HATE SHOPPING WITH SARAH'

MATTHEW BRODERICK hates shopping trips with his actress wife SARAH JESSICA PARKER - because she is constantly hounded by autograph-hunting fans.
The Stepford Wives star admits trips to New York's famous shopping districts often turn into a nightmare, because everyone wants to speak to his superstar wife - especially Sex And The City enthusiasts.
But the actor insists he isn't bothered that his wife is more popular than he is - because his low-profile allows him to disappear into the background without facing harassment from fans.
He says, "My wife gets asked for her autograph more than me. When you're on TV, that's serious fame. I have never got to that. It happens when we go shopping.
"She is bothered all day, basically. I sit in the background. At least I can go about my business."
