BRITS 'MORE INTELLIGENT' THAN AMERICANS, SAYS GWYNETH

Hollywood royalty Gwyneth Paltrow may not be too popular at the Oscars this year after snubbing the US in favour for life across the pond.

The star of films like Shallow Hal and Shakespeare in love, Gwyneth, 34, told a Portuguese newspaper that "the British are much more intelligent and civilized than the Americans".
Her love of the Brits has a lot to do with the small island's dinnertime habits, saying "People talk about interesting things at dinner - not about work and money".
However her comments haven't gone down well in America, where radio stations across the country have been discussing the actress's comments. One caller was enraged by the remarks, saying "If she feels that way we are far better off without her".
The Oscar winning star added, "I don't fit into the bad side of American psychology. It's not as capitalistic as America"

Gwyneth currently lives with British rocker and Coldplay frontman Chris Martin with their children, daughter Apple and baby boy Moses in their north London home.

Her new film, running with scissors, is out in the UK next month.
