BRITNEY MISSES COURT HEARING

Britney Spears has again failed to attend a court hearing regarding the custody of her two children.

The Toxic star had arrived at the Los Angeles County superior court through an underground car park, so as to avoid the paparazzi.

But despite requesting the hearing to argue for the restoration of her visitation rights to her sons, Spears reportedly asked to leave the court after passing through security.

The 26-year-old's lawyer Anne Kiley left the courtroom for 20 minutes in an attempt to locate the singer but returned to tell the court she was unsure "whether she'll [Spears] be here or not".

Spears is locked in a legal dispute with ex-husband Kevin Federline for custody of their sons Sean Preston, two, and one-year-old Jayden James.

Her visitation rights to the boys were suspended indefinitely on January 3rd after a standoff with police during which she refused to hand over one of the children to Mr Federline's security guard.

She was then hospitalised suffering from the effects of "an unidentified substance".

The suspension of her visitation rights was upheld last week after she arrived at the courthouse for an emergency hearing only to return to her car before entering the building.
