British stage star DARREN DAY has been declared bankrupt, despite earning more than $1.8 million (GBP1 million) a year at the height of his career. The musical leading man is most famous for a string of romances with beauties including DEBBIE GIBSON, ISLA FISHER and ANNA FRIEL - but he's been forced to leave London to live in Yorkshire with actress girlfriend STEPHANIE DOOLEY and their baby after suffering financial problems. When approached by reporters yesterday (12OCT06), Day said, "It's my life, I don't want to talk about it."
