BRIGHT EYES SCORES HIGHEST US CHART PLACE
Bright Eyes has entered the US Billboard 200 at number four this week, the highest entry yet for a Bright Eyes album.
Cassadaga is singer-songwriter Conor Oberst's most successful effort to date after his previous double album release entered on the verge of the top ten.
I'm Awake, It's Morning reached number ten and Digital Ash in a Digital Urn entered at number 15 when they were both released in 2005.
In contrast to the UK - which rarely sees compilation albums top the charts - the Billboard 200 is currently led by Now 24, a various artists release.
The remainder of the top five features Tim McGraw with his album Let it Go and Akon's Konvicted.
Timbaland's new album, Timbaland Presents Shock Value, currently holds the fifth album place.
Bright Eyes entered the UK charts at number 13 and will be touring the US next week beginning in Milwaukee and finishing with a six-night residency in Oberst's native New York.
