BRIDGE DIVE MARS SLAYER FESTIVAL SHOW

A 22-year-old SLAYER fan is fighting for his life after jumping from a bridge during the heavy rock group's headlining show at the Metaltown festival in Gothenburg, Sweden on Saturday (30Jun07). According to reports, the devotee leapt from the Gota-Alv bridge opposite the event's main stage an hour into Slayer's set at the festival. The incident started as a prank when two friends stripped to their underwear and counted down a joke dive, but one of the pair went through with the jump from the 30-meter-high bridge into the water below. The jumper failed to resurface and was later found unconscious in the water. He was taken to a nearby hospital, where he has remained in critical condition.
