BREAK-UP IS NOT TO BLAME FOR DJ AM'S DEATH

DJ AM's grieving girlfriend has slammed reports suggesting the clubbing icon took his life after she dumped him, insisting the couple was together when he died.
Model Hayley Wood has spoken out for the first time since the tragedy unfolded on Friday (28Aug09), and the 22 year old is appalled by media reports blaming a fictitious break-up for his death.
She tells UsMagazine.com, "Any indication that this horribly tragic accident happened because of a rumoured breakup is not only untrue but disgusting.
"We were very much together at the time of his passing, and I love him very much."
DJ AM's body was found in his New York apartment on Friday. Crack cocaine, prescription pills and drug paraphernalia were reportedly found at the scene. A cause of death has yet to be determined.
The DJ, real name Adam Goldstein, will be laid to rest on Thursday (03Sep09).
