BRANDY RESPONDS TO CRASH LAWSUIT

R&B star BRANDY has responded to a second lawsuit filed against her in relation to her 2006 car crash - denying all of the allegations and urging the U.S. courts to take the case to trial. The singer - full name Brandy Norwood - walked away from the California freeway collision, which left female driver Awatef Aboudihaj dead.
She was not charged with any wrongdoing in the crash, but is facing a civil suit from the Aboudihaj's family and Donald Lite, another motorist caught up in the collision.
Lite filed suit in December (08) claiming Norwood and Aboudihaj both failed to follow road regulations, resulting in the smash which left him with "serious and permanent injuries".
The Afrodisiac hitmaker has denied all of Lite's allegations and wants the matter to be decided by a jury, according to Radar Online.
The papers filed in response to Lite's claims state, "If the plaintiff suffered or sustained damages as alleged in the complaint, those damages were proximately caused and contributed to by plaintiff by his failure to conduct himself in a manner ordinarily expected of reasonable prudent persons".
Lite's personal injury suit is seeking unspecified damages to cover his hospital costs.
Aboudihaj's family is also pursuing a $50 million (£33.5 million) wrongful death suit against the star. The civil trial is set for April 2009.
