BRANDO'S SON IN CRITICAL CONDITION IN HOSPITAL

MARLON BRANDO's son CHRISTIAN has been admitted to the intensive care unit of a Los Angeles hospital for an unknown illness. The 49-year-old was taken to Hollywood Presbyterian Hospital on 11 January (08), but his ailment has not been disclosed. The son of the acting legend last hit the headlines in 2005, when he pleaded guilty to abusing his then-wife, Deborah Presley - who claims to be the illegitimate daughter of rocker Elvis Presley. He was also imprisoned in the early 1990s following his conviction of voluntary manslaughter relating to the death of his half-sister's boyfriend, Dag Drollet, in 1990. He was released from jail in 1996, according to TMZ.com. Brando Snr. died in 2004, aged 80.
