BRANAGH TO PLAY REVERED SWEDISH COP IN NEW FILM SERIES
KENNETH BRANAGH is set to bring literary cop KURT WALLANDER to life in a new BBC TV film series adaptation of HENNING MANKELL's bestselling crime novels. The actor/director will play the Swedish detective in three 90-minute projects, which will be shot back to back later this year (08) in Ystad, Sweden. Mankell's crime books have sold more than 25 million copies worldwide, according to Daily Variety.
